Disco Vinyl Records

The most popular form of music in the 70’s and part of the 80’s was disco. These were the days of Studio 54 and movies like Saturday Night Fever. There were some disco haters but overall disco reigned supreme at this time. Most disco albums were available on vinyl, so if you own any of these hold on to them, they may be collectibles. The sound of disco played through discos and car radios and men who had shirts buttoned down to their belly buttons with gold chains danced.

Some of the most popular acts of that time were the soundtracks from Grease and Saturday Night Fever, The Bee Gees, Donna Summer, Abba, Blondie, Diana Ross, Frankie Valli and KC and the Sunshine Band. These groups all rocked the disco scene and they were as famous as famous could be. Week after week they held steady on the charts.

People lined up in record stores to buy these vinyl records, they would go home and dance to them and learn all of the new moves like the hustle. Disco was the biggest and baddest thing back in the 70’s. People today hear about disco, maybe they were not born yet and they love it and they want to find these albums, they can begin by going on EBAY or they may be able to find them on CD, if they had the vinyl, what could they play the on?
