There are many different genres of music; people have a diverse taste when it comes to music. A very small percentage of people only have 1 type of music they like and the majority of people have 2 or 3. People have some strange musical tastes, some people like Country, Pop and then will like something like Heavy Metal. That is why there are so many different genres, because people have eclectic music tastes.
There are over 50 different music styles, here are a few, see if they among your favorites. Blues, Classical, Country, Dance, Folk, Jazz, Metal, New Age, Pop, Rock, Rhythm and Blues, Hip Hop, Disco, Spanish and Religious Music. There are too many too list but there seems to be more and more genres every year. The radio and CD sales are huge because of people’s love for their music.
There are CD players, radios, boom boxes, portable stereos, cassette players, MP3 players and iPods are the latest way to hear music when you are on the go. The music industry makes a lot of money because people are into listening to music or trying to get into the music business. That is why American Idol is so popular because they allow people to come on and sing their favorite type of music.
